*DO YOU KNOW THAT FEELING?*
Do you know that feeling?
When it's hard to say 'happy independence day,
When it's hard to define independence,
Because despite the freedom,
Our darling terrain is in disarray,
It's time to make no bones
The miming era had gone
It's no gainsaying;
Our current government is like riding a bicycle while wearing a duvet;
It's going to be higgledy-piggledy,
How can independence in hands of political liers be considered freedom?
What a mystification!
The media has always been up in arms with the anthropomorphic animals,
Yet, it holds no water,
Have this petito principi;
Why are we always barking up the wrong tree?
Insecurity has been the daily bread
History should remind the whiny baby who clamoured for independence during its immaturity;
It had resulted in the current pessimistic fluctuation,
In Nigeria, we can only decipher independence as a mechanism of negative transmogrification
The citizens had burned their boats
New grounds are being broken
Taking our breaths away
Lies now sells like hotcakes,
Limning the youth with indolence is not a solution,
Enough of the tomfoolery!
It's the time! Tell the flibbertigibbet to embrace sagacity
Four or eight years in government is not a sojourn but a voyage,
Bags of rice should not be a remuneration,
Let invoke the Ubiquitous God
Begging for intervention
My friends!
Prayer, unity, peace, love and reliability are the sine qua nons for Nigeria's success.
Do you know the feeling I can't describe?
The broken independence.
