The Rector of Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Dr Olawoye Olaniran has encouraged the newly admitted Students of the Daily Part-Time Program during their Matriculation Exercise to see themselves as the same as regular students of the institution.
The Rector made the statement while delivering his speech today, July 28th, 2021, at the Matriculation Ceremony of the Part-Time students for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.
"It should be remembered that during the orientation program, I indicated that you will be doing your exams in the main campus; there is no need to separate the two campuses because they are the same; the majority of our HND students come from the Koko campus," the rector stated.
He also congratulated the newly matriculated students on their matriculation and encouraged them to take their studies seriously.
"Get prepared for the upcoming exam; do not get involved in examination malpractice; do your best and leave the rest and before you can do your best, you have to read. Students nowadays are not reading. Make sure you always use the library in your academic study." The rector advised.
However, the Institution's Registrar, Barrister B.M Salawu directed the students to recite the Matriculation Oath pledging to uphold the values of the institution.
